Dr. Corwell bought his first Willson euphonium in 1978, and since 1983 he has been an official Willson artist

In 1981 he won a euphonium position with "Pershing's Own", the premier Army Band in Washington, DC. He soon earned a spot as a member of that organization's Concert Band, and became a frequent and popular featured soloist. After departing from the army in 1989, he earned a DMA, taught at 2 universities, and began a career as a free-lance soloist & clinician. He won yet another National Audition to rejoin Pershing's own in 2002. He retired in 2016 as euphonium section leader of the ceremonial band. He has now resumed his career as soloist, clinician, composer, & recording artist.
